{"id":62,"date":"2013-06-20T20:51:49","date_gmt":"2013-06-20T20:51:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/friendshippharm.com\/?page_id=62"},"modified":"2014-02-14T19:39:32","modified_gmt":"2014-02-14T19:39:32","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/friendshippharm.com\/retail-services\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"ABOUT"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"one-half\">\n<h3>HOW IT ALL BEGAN<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Earl Jones, RPh opened Jones&#8217; Pharmacy in 1946 on the corner of Cottman and Rowland Avenues.\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Some time after that Irving Tannenbaum, RPh, the original owner of Friendship Pharmacy, (which was located on Friendship street) acquired Jones&#8217; Pharmacy. He then combined the two stores and chose Mr. Jones&#8217; Pharmacy&#8217;s as the location of the new Friendship Pharmacy. It originally housed a soda fountain and ice cream parlor.\u00a0<\/div> <div class=\"one-half last\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>AND THEN WE BOUGHT A PHARMACY<\/h3>\n<p>In the summer of 1977, Francis A. Rubino, RPh purchased the pharmacy from Mr. Tannenbaum and kept the name. He built the pharmacy into a true family pharmacy with his patients&#8217; safety and wellness at the center. Currently Friendship Pharmacy, Inc. is a full-service, family run pharmacy owned by Francis A. Rubino&#8217;s son,\u00a0Frank\u00a0R. Rubino RPh.\u00a0Frank\u00a0R. Rubino works along side his two sons: Francis Al. Rubino, PharmD, his son Anthony, and his wife Barbara. As well as Denis McGurk, who began working for the family pharmacy 20-some years ago at age 16. At Friendship Pharmacy, Inc., our customers and staff are apart of our family. And family is everything.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"one\">\n<h3>MEET OUR TEAM<\/h3>\n<div class='team one-fourth'>       <div class='team-member-info'>\n           <ul>\n               <li><h2>Frank A. Rubino, RPh<\/h2><\/li>               <li><h3>Pharmacist<\/h3><\/li>           <\/ul>\n           <p> Frank A. Rubino, RPh, graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy in 1963 and\u00a0has been a practicing pharmacist for over 50 years.\u00a0 He has served on the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy as a member and president. Frank has also won the highly coveted Bowl of Hygeia; which is awarded to one pharmacist from each state once a year for the\u00a0outstanding communtiy service. Frank continues to work along side his son Frank R. Rubino, RPh, and his grandson Francis Al. Rubino, RPh<\/h2><\/li>               <li><h3>Pharmacist<\/h3><\/li>           <\/ul>\n           <p>Frank R. Rubino, RPh, graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy in 1986. He is the sole owner of Friendship Pharmacy, Inc. and Friendship Pharmacy, Ltc. <\/p>\n           <ul class='social-personal'>\n           <\/ul>       <\/div><\/div>\n<div class='team one-fourth'>       <div class='team-member-info'>\n           <ul>\n               <li><h2>Dennis McGurk, RPh<\/h2><\/li>               <li><h3>Pharmacist<\/h3><\/li>           <\/ul>\n           <p>Dennis McGurk graduated from Temply University School of Pharmacy in 1998. He began working at Friendship Pharmacy, Inc. at the age of 16 and has been working here ever since. He now works alongside his grandfather and father.
